Stage 3 starts at the De Bortoli Winery at 9am, rolls down into Yarra Glen, turns towards Healsville, A and B grade do a loop of Death Valley and back through Yarra Glen before rejoining the main course while the other grades head directly to Toolangi up Chum Creek Rd.  Passing through Toolangi riders then turn left crossing the Melba Hwy and then climbing up to Kinglake, before a spectacular descent to St Andrews and then back to Yarra Glen and the De Bortoli Winery via the ITT course.  Some short sections of this stage are gravel.
