Welcome to the De Bortoli Tour
Welcome to the 2007 De Bortoli Tour, proudly presented by the Blackburn Cycling Club and De Bortoli Wines
We would like to apologise for the lateness of the results. All results are now online.
John Nicholson, the Blackburn Club President has written an open letter to all riders involved in the tour concerning the results. Please see his letter here.
For 2007, the Tour commenced at 9am on Saturday the 26th of May with the Steels Creek Rd individual time trial, then at 2pm the Yarra Glen/Death Valley road stage started. On Sunday, at 9am, the queen stage, Stage 3 started at the De Bortoli winery, ran down into Yarra Glen, up to Toolangi along Chum Creek Rd, over to Kinglake and down through St Andrews before returning to De Bortoli via Steeks creek road. A challenging and very rewarding course.
The tour dinner featured Phil Anderson, Australian cycling legend, as a guest speaker.
New to 2007, the De Bortoli Tour included a teams race, masters, C grade and women's grades.
For more information, please contact the Blackburn Cycling Club, see the Blackburn website here
We'd like your feedback on the event. If you rode it or worked as a tour helper/volunteer, please let us know so we can improve the event in future. What did we do well, what can we do better? (yes, we know the results need to be done better!). Please send us an email with your comments and feedback here.
